Average age with all the health facilities and advancement in medical science has dropped significantly. Earlier man was close to nature and had fresh air and fresh food alongwith hard manual work..which had raised his lifespan but now with all the comforts of life and easiness in life style which has brought far away from nature such a long life of 111 yrs age cannot be expected.
Alexander was nominated for having such an age and was recorded in guiness world record as the oldest man of 111 years
111-year-old Alexander Imich holds a Guinness World Records certificate recognizing him as the world's oldest living man during an interview with Reuters at his home on New York City's upper west side. Dr Imich, who holds a PhD in Zoology, was born in Poland on February 4, 1903, fled Poland when the Nazis took over in 1939, survived a slave labour camp in Russia and moved to the United States in 1951 where he became an author on parapsychology.
